ItemRack addon allows you to setup combinations of armor and weapons and will equip, un-equip or change at the click of a button, OR upon certain events. For example, I have a ‘Damage’ set, which I use when I’m just out killing for loot. It’s all of my +DMG gear, even though I sacrifice STA and INT. I don’t need STA and INT when I’m killing one mob at a time, and I can slice through them quickly with my +DMG gear. I have a ‘Live’ set for long boss battles, where I give up some of my DMG for STA and INT. Then I have an ‘Evocation’ set. I have the Staff of Infinite Mysteries with the +INT enchant on it (along with a +INT wand) which make up my Evocation set. ItemRack has built in events like Evocation, Eating and Drinking, etc….so when I’m in combat and I hit Evocate, it automatically swaps out to my +INT weapon so my Evocation raises more mana, then automatically swaps back when Evocation is done.
ACE mods (www.wowace.com) also has ClosetGnome, and some plugins to go with it, including Switcher. It works like ItemRack, including being able to switch items in on Evocation. I prefer ClosetGnome because I love the WoWACE Auto Updater which allows for very easy updating of mods.
